Girlfriend, Get Out There and Share those Pix – Penny Stewart

Learn a fun and easy way to share your photos. Using Photoshop Elements to edit your photos and to create online galleries, collages, slideshows, and greeting cards.

Web Weaving –

Students will learn a basic overview of creating and managing websites using Adobe Dreamweaver software and have the opportunity to build their own personal home page

Cyber-Safety -
Pam Chambers

Examine computer internet safety of chat rooms, networking in facebook and myspace, and protection of identity. Information will be shared in an interactive discussion with the students.

Based on information learned the students will work in teams to  prepare a public service announcement for school announcements regarding computer safety or prepare a poster to educate district elementary students about computer safety.

Talk to the Mic! –

Participants will get a chance to use Windows speech.  The breakout session will be designed to allow the girls to have fun while using technology that will help them complete school reports and other various activities.               

Who Dunnit?

Put on your decoder ring, grab your cell phone and use high tech toys to help your team solve an unbelievable mystery. In this hands-on workshop clues to help solve this case will be delivered using information technology. We’ll bring the toys you bring your brain!

The Young and the Melted –

Does Billy Bob get rejected by both Crystal and Jessica?  Does Darniece’s boyfriend melt into a puddle of icy tears over their very public breakup?  Does Lindsay smack Kelsey and take off with Joey? Only you can decide!  With Alice, programming is a snap.  With a drag-n-drop interface, and 3D animated moves, you can make a tear-jerker, an action movie, or just pure sweet drama at the click of the mouse!    

I Need Green!

What kind of car do you want to drive?  What kind of home do you want to live in?  Where do you want that home to be?  Do you like to shop?  How much money do you need to make?  How will you make that much money?

Girls will explore the Internet for their dream homes and cars, use brainstorming skills to identify expenses they’ll incur in life, learn how to prepare a simple budget using Excel, and get a handle on what to expect from living on their own!
