"Girls in IT" Under the theme of "We Are IT," ten Ohio colleges/universities, in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Education, are working together to encourage girls' participation in IT and technology related courses and careers. This one-day event will provide a broad-based introduction to the application of information technology to the world of work through fun and interactive activities. This collaborative initiative of Ohio secondary and postsecondary educators and Ohio business representatives is expected to reach over 1000 Ohio girls in grades 7-10. Friday, November 17, 2006 |
